Alaska's Public Health reporting regulations require health care providers to report outbreaks or unusual incidences of disease that are known or suspected to be related to environmental exposure to a toxic substance.

To report illness due to a hazardous substance release emergency or other environmental exposure to a toxic substance, please call the Section of Epidemiology:
- During regular business hours: 1-907-269-8000
- After hours, for a public health emergency: 1-800-478-0084

To report a hazardous substance release, please call the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) at
1-800-478-9300. You can also report a spill online at: www.dec.state.ak.us/spar/spillreport.htm.
