Viral Hepatitis Information

Epidemiology

Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. Viral hepatitis is inflammation of the liver caused by one of the hepatitis viruses. The three most common types of hepatitis found in the United States are Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. The information on this site concerns primarily these three hepatitis viruses.
